Chic-King Empire Presents AM I DUMB?
Nkrumah (13), a self-motivated boy in a highly discriminated society against the less privileged, believes he can maneuver to overcome every obstacle he is faced with.
He is faced with providing the homework he has misplaced after traveling kilometers from his village to the school or faces the rage of his furious teacher who has no mercy for the cripple. His decision to go in search of his bag meets the disapproval of his teacher as the teacher orders some students to go and catch him. He explains how society makes life difficult and shatters the dreams of the less privileged as the students drug him to school.
His teacher canes him mercilessly without listening to what he has to say. He finally cries in a suburb of the town seeking a chance to prove himself capable.
